25 Year Galvalume® Metal Roof Panel Warranty and Guarantee

LifeTite Metal Products manufacturers and distributes a variety of commercial Galvalume® metal roof panels to the commercial building construction industry within the U.S.  These products are produced from quality coil stock and precision roll forming equipment that ensure long lasting panel functionality.

LifeTite Metal Products warrants to the owner that the Galvalume® metal roofing panels will not fail or become perforated under normal atmospheric conditions or when subjected to reasonable foot traffic exposure for a period of 25 Years.

This warranty does not apply to metal roof panels that have been in contact with corrosive materials or severe atmospheric conditions.  These conditions may include but are not limited to the following:

  • stack or vent chemical / food processing discharges from affected building or surrounding facilities,
  • coastal ocean areas where air borne salt water is prevalent,
  • aqueous solution runoff containing copper or other elements,
  • mortar and cement products and byproducts

This warranty shall not apply to damage or loss caused in whole or in part by the following exemptions:

  1. Natural causes including but not limited to; lightning strikes, full gales, hail, hurricanes, high winds, ice, excessive snow loads or other related occurrences.  Damage due to these acts of nature is covered under property damage insurance.
  2. Vandalism, acts of war, terrorism, civil disobedience, etc.
  3. Alteration of the roof or installation of structures, fixtures, etc. that are free standing or penetrate the roof.
  4. Settling, warping, or other movement or failure of the structure or failure of other components attached to the roofing system (i.e. block walls; fire walls, EIFS, parapets, mansards, etc. and adjacent metal walls to varying elevations, etc.)
  5. Environmental fallout, or manufacturing / building discharges including such products as; solvents, cleansers, acids, caustic fluids, oils, olefins, grease, absorbent clays, bleaches, plasticizers, or other substances not specifically approved by the material Manufacturer that may adversely affect the roof coating.
  6. Failure by the owner/customer to perform routine maintenance and care on the roof. (Routine cleaning of gutters, minimizing foot traffic, keeping roof water evacuation paths clear of obstructions, etc)
  7. LifeTite will not, in any event, be responsible for leaks caused by ponding water, the restriction of normal water evacuation paths or back up of water in gutters, valleys or negative sloped roof systems, and negative building air pressure conditions created by an imbalance between exhaust fans and louvers/air inlet fans.
  8. Foot traffic damage, storage of materials on the roof or acts of neglect or misuse to the roof by others.
  9. Water infiltration or condensation through, around, or above the walls of the building, & HVAC condensation.
  10. Under-panel: oxidation, corrosion, and rust bleed through associated with internal panel deterioration.
  11. Unauthorized or improper installation or repairs such as metal filings and other intrusions deposited on the metal roof surfaces.
  12. Damage due to improper handing during shipment, storage or installation activities.

Note:      LifeTite Metal Products shall not be under the obligation of said warranty until paid in full for all materials.

The foregoing warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited to; any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.  This warranty is applicable to the original owner, and on the building that the metal panels were installed.  This warranty is transferable under specific guidelines as delineated in writing from LifeTite Metal Products.  Transferability consideration requires a fee based professional inspection authorized by LifeTite Metal Products.  Deficiencies observed during such inspection will require correction prior to the execution of any warranty transfer, and shall be the exclusive responsibility of the owner or purchaser.

If a failure of the installed roof panels occur in whole or part without violating any exclusionary clauses within the (25) year warranty period LifeTite must be notified in writing within (60) days of the deficiency finding, and be provided with specific details and location of the defects.  LifeTite Metal Products or its delegated representative shall be given an adequate opportunity to examine the deficiencies, and be allowed reasonable time and methodology for resolution.  This may include the replacement of defective panel components.  Failure to provide such notice will void this warranty.

Original owner’s exclusive remedy against LifeTite Metal Products for any and all claims, whether for breach of contract, warranty, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, shall be limited to repairing defective metal panels or at LifeTite Metal Products option to furnish replacement panels of the same or similar profile and material.  LifeTite Metal Products shall not in any event be liable for the cost of labor to replace defective panels nor incur any liability or any incidental or consequential damages.
